The mister tree STORY

MISTER

Autumn, the time of year Mister Tree sticks his knotty workers hands out of his stiff coat to create unique ciders made from fresh Dutch apples and pears.

He makes his limited editions with a mix of old-tradition, innovation and adventure.
Mister Tree likes to draw outside the lines so always something new to discover.

Ready to step off the beaten tracks? Put on your gnarly boots and go!
Mister Tree is there.

TREE

Whilst sipping away a fresh glass of Mister Tree cider you're actually contributing to a better (cider)world.

OMG! Really? How did I just do that?

Well first of all your drinking cider made out of rejected fruit.
Secondly and this might cheer you up a bit. You’re saving snails, rodents, worms, mosquitoes, wasps, spiders, nettles and more of those little friends.

Check the grassroots page. it's 2% for the planet..

CRAFT CIDER

Craft. Hands that make stuff. Become skilled by doing not by swiping and scrolling. Mister tree says craft is about getting your hands dirty and your mind clear.

And it’s an easy start.
Just undertake action, make, taste, fail, refocus, do it again and grow skilled along the way.
Craft is a word that lost meaning and is misused by many. So the definition in Mister Tree’s ciders is:

Made by hands and experience.

REVOLUTION

No need for lots of words:

"FUCK THE FAKE AND SWEET COMMERCIAL MUCK, THE NETHERLANDS IS READY FOR A CRAFT CIDER REVOLUTION"

According a motivated Mister Tree

on the barricade for a dutch Craft cider Revolution

In The Netherlands we don’t have a cider culture. Never had one. Thus for now no strict ideas on how cider should be made right?
Funny enough there are people here that say you cannot make proper cider without the use of specific “cider apples”. Well there is one problem.. None of those so called bittersweet or bittersharp cider apples grow in our flat little country. Some say you cannot make cider from anything else than apples. So no added hops, herbs, spices, fruits, sulphites, yeast or sugars.

There also is a group of people that don’t think… and just drink cider made from water, sugars, artificial flavours and with all types of fruits added. And they love this so called “cider”. That’s the majority of cider drinkers around the world anyway.
Others say only 100% pure apple juice and no concentrate can be used to make cider. Or cider should be bone dry only. Or no, sweet the normandy way.. and you have to grow the tree’s and apples yourself too.
And we have this: “only the best apple are used” stolen and processed into cider by a fox?

A great mixture of opinions and ideas in just a tiny little country. At least we have the “poldermodel”.

Here is the good news:
Mister Tree does not give a dime about all of these opinions or styles and just makes ciders the way he likes. Experimental? Superb? Traditional? Discover for yourself and get your hands on those Mister Tree small batch limited edition ciders!
